Our roots go back to 1914, when the Šamorín sports club was founded. Tennis has been played here continuously for more than a hundred years, and TK ŠTK Šamorín is the oldest tennis club in town. We are based at Pomlejská cesta 450/29, a quiet location close to the centre of Šamorín. We are a small community club, not a large corporate venue — we know each other, we value our long-standing members, and we enjoy meeting new players.
The club has five clay courts. Clay is a traditional surface that is gentler on the joints than hard courts, and play on it tends to be more technical — the ball bounces more slowly and slides are part of the game. To keep the courts in good shape we regularly roll them, water them, top up the clay and check the lines. The season runs from April to October; the exact opening date depends on the weather and on when the clay is properly ready for play.
We welcome recreational players who want a relaxed game in their free time, as well as club members, whose court rental is included in the membership fee. Children from about five years old can join our tennis preparation training groups, and adults can choose individual or small-group lessons with our coaches. We also host company events and tournaments. The general public can reserve courts through our online booking system. Whether you simply want to come and hit a few balls with friends or play tennis regularly, you are very welcome here.

Clay court rental costs €9 for 1 hour or €14 for 1.5 hours. Club members can use the courts for free as part of their membership fee.
You can book a court directly on our website in the Reservation section. Pick the date, time and court in the online booking system — payment is processed online and you receive an email confirmation right away.
Clay courts are available from April to October, daily from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. The exact opening date depends on weather and court conditions.

We have 5 clay courts with regular maintenance, rolling, and clay replenishment. Clay surface is gentle on joints and ideal for both recreational and competitive players.
We recommend having your own tennis racket and appropriate clay court shoes. For beginners and children, racket rental is possible by arrangement with the coach.
We require clay court tennis shoes only (smooth or special clay sole). Inappropriate footwear damages the surface and shortens the court lifespan for other players. Thank you for your consideration.
There is no refreshment stand or buffet on site. We recommend bringing your own drinks and snacks. There are several shops and restaurants near the courts.
